“Casa Babilônia” is located on an uphill road to a “favela” (slum), in the nice district of Leme, southern Rio de Janeiro.
A completely renovated house of the sixties, it was carefully furnished by the owners themselves, in order to receive their guests with coziness and the charm of simplicity. Nine rooms provide a private atmosphere. From the roof terrace you have a wonderful view of Copacabana beach, as well as a glimpse on the rainforest and the exotic and lively Favela Babilônia.
The view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks is overwhelming.
The owner couple lived many years shuttling between Brazil and Switzerland, and welcomes the guests in German, English, French, Portuguese as well as in Spanish.
The beautiful beaches Leme and Copacabana are in an about 10′ minutes walking distance.
The beaches Ipanema, Leblon, Barra da Tijuca, the Corcovado statue, Sugar Loaf, the Sambadrome stadium, the soccer stadium Maracanã, several museums as well as many other attractions of the “Cidade Maravilhosa” are easily reached by taxi or UBER.
Casa Babilônia wants their guests to feel good. The easy-going flair of the different open areas around
the house speaks for itselve.
